Tending to the Depths

Turning towards what we have been taught to move past, reclaiming the parts of us we have pushed into the shadow, and returning to wholeness.

For the most part, grief is not a problem to be solved, not a condition to be medicated, but a deep encounter with an essential experience of being human.

What brings people here

You may recognise yourself in some of this.

You are carrying grief that you have never been able to name or fully process.

You are ready to let go of the burdens, emotions or beliefs you have been carrying for so long.

You have had to disown parts of yourself and you long to welcome these parts home, including the joy and vitality that return alongside them.

You feel a pull to reconnect with your own heart, authenticity and sense of aligned purpose.

You are longing for community and to connect with like-minded others.

You have been shamed for aspects of who you are, including your sensitivity or aspects of your identity.

What this is

A space to be with what is difficult, together.

Together we explore difficult emotions, stages of grief and what emerges in times of transition. This isn't only about traditional bereavement. It may be grief related to parts of ourselves we have disowned, what we longed for and never received, despair over the collective crisis we are living through, or the loss of relationships, life stages and transitions.

This work is trauma-informed. We move slowly, tending to grief and to the parts of us that have been lost, disowned, or left carrying what was never ours to hold. Each gathering has a structure, as well as room for whatever wants to be expressed, and time to integrate.

The vitality and open heart we are all looking for is on the other side of the feelings we most avoid. You are not required to share, or to have worked out what your grief is about. You are asked only to come, and to be with what is there.

What opens over time

What tending to the depths makes possible

Our capacity to tune into grief is bound up with our capacity to feel alive, and to feel joy.

Reclaiming aspects of yourself that had been lost, a returning home.

Greater wholeness, and a greater ability to live authentically.

More capacity to hold and make space for all that is present in you.

Community support, and the friendships that grow from being witnessed.
